Clothing Exchange service- New terms and conditions

As of the 15th November 2023 the terms and conditions for the clothing exchange service is as follows:-

1,            All clothing must be clean and in a good condition.

2,            Please be realistic with pricing- fast fashion means cheap fashion- if an item cost £10 to buy you will not get back much when selling on.  Higher priced items will return some money but the point is to remove the clutter from your home rather than anything else.

3,            The charge for the service will be:-

*0-10 items £5, 10-20 items £10, 20-30 items £15 and any more to be discussed – this payment can be deducted from your balance. (listing and photographing takes considerable time)

*A deduction of 30% of the overall balance

4,            The items will be listed for four weeks initially –time starts from when item is listed not from when item is received.  After four weeks if the item has not been sold Birdie will get in contact to ask if you would like to extend the period for a further two weeks.  If after six weeks the items have not sold you will be offered them back or they can be donated to charity on your behalf.

5,            Birdie Family P.A is experienced in this service- the items will be listed at a price of her discretion unless you state otherwise (depending on market trends) – if you wish to stipulate a price this must be stated when handing the clothing over.

6,            The second hand clothing market is saturated as people aim to become more environmentally friendly.  The idea of this service is to remove the unwanted items from your possession to encourage streamlining, decluttering and recycling of useable goods.
